Volunteers
We could not put on the 10k race each year without the fantastic local support and volunteers, we thank you for all your hard work, efforts and contributions
Cammas Hall Fruit Farm & R N Broad and Son | Our local farmers provide great help preparing the car parks; including, the use of their trucks to set up & take down the course, filling potholes plus many more behind the scenes to ensure this day goes ahead. |
GnBri Photographers | Gareth and Brianna have a vast amount experience at sporting events and took some fantastic photos at last years race. Photos will be available to purchase through their website after the event. www.gnbri.co.uk |
Set Up & Take Down Team | Our trusty gang of local villagers who set out at 6am on race day to set everything up, and then do everything in reverse after the race to take it all back down and store it carefully for the next year. They usually get to the Cock Inn at about 5 pm for a well deserved drink! |
Race Marshals | Our Race Marshals are approx. 50 villagers who love the race so much that they volunteer every year to do a Hi Vis jacket and try to keep the roads clear & safe for you. – If you are interested in marshaling please do contact us. |
Water Marshals | Our fabulous group of mums who make sure that that there is plenty of cold fresh water for you at the 5k water station. |
Refreshments/Tea Tent | Our local HBO Cubs & Scouts group sets up and runs the refreshment stall all morning on race day |
Pre-race Warm Up | Mind and Body Detox. James Dunne, co-founder and personal trainer will be delivering a warm up for all runners on the village green. www.mindandbodydetox.co.uk |
Parking | The HBO Village Green committee manage our car parking along with great help from the HBO Scout Group – this is not an easy job! |
